I have so many stories to tell, but first things first, I’ll talk about my date I had on Monday night.
One of my best friends, Charissa, is getting married in September. I’m excited for her! She asked me if I would be her bride’s maid so we should have fun dress shopping. I would love to wear my Cotillion dress again but it’s black and white. And you probably know the saying, “You can’t wear white, or you’ll look like you’re trying to out do the bride.” Anyways, she’s getting married to a nice guy named Andy. He’s only been back from his mission in Honduras for about 2 months now, so it was a very fast engagement. I hope it will end up working out for them. Andy, her fiancĂ©, has an identical twin brother named Aaron. Charissa set me up on a blind date with Aaron, and we went on a group date to the local Drive-In. At first I was worried because I’ve been on a blind date before with identical twins. Needless to say it didn’t go very well because my friend and I kept forgetting which date was ours. We’d have a inconspicuous huddle every now and then, trying to figure out whose date was whose. We ended up only being able to tell them apart by their jackets and shoes! How embarrassing. Luckily I didn’t have that problem on my date with Aaron, because Charissa and Andy were glued to each other’s sides. Whew. What a life saver. First we had a nice barbeque dinner at their house, so we got the opportunity to talk before heading off to the Drive-In to see our movies. It’s always a double feature at the Drive-In and we saw The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Toy Story 3. I had already seen Toy Story and I really like it, but I have to admit that The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was not the greatest movie. It was okay, but it was a little bit bland and corny at some parts. Like I said, it’s an alright movie, but don’t go out of your way to see it. To wrap up the night in a nutshell, I enjoyed myself and I’m glad I got to meet my friend’s fiancĂ© and his family.
